Your mission

The Finance Officer role supports the day-to-day financial operations of Transforma Travel Group across multiple global brands & entities. 
 
This role focuses on ensuring invoices, payments, reconciliations and finance administration tasks are processed accurately and efficiently, while delivering strong support to internal teams. 
 
The role is hands on and operational in nature, with exposure to financial systems, process improvement, and automation projects as the business continues to scale. It is well suited to someone early in their finance career who is organized, detail oriented, and interested in developing within a fast-growing international business. 

This role sits within the Finance Operations (FinOps) / Accounting function, with a clear progression pathway aligned to operational finance and controllership. The typical career trajectory for this position is: Finance Officer → Senior Finance Officer → Finance Controller, focusing on deepening expertise in accounting, financial controls, and operational finance, rather than Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).


Key areas of ownership:
  • Preparing and issuing customer invoices accurately and on time
  • Processing supplier invoices, payment requests, and finance documentation
  • Owning and executing payment runs and maintaining accurate and complete payment records
  • Reconciling bank accounts and finance transactions
  • Maintaining accurate bookkeeping and finance records across systems
  • Responding to internal finance queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Monitoring finance inboxes and ensuring requests are handled efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate data across finance and operational systems
  • Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc operational and administrative tasks when required 
Supporting areas:
  • Assisting with month end close processes and reconciliations
  • Supporting operational teams with finance related workflows and documentation
  • Supporting finance process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc operational and administrative tasks when required
Key Relationships
  • Reports to: Head of Finance (interim) - expected to transition to Financial Controller as the team structure develops

Decision Making
What will this role decide, approve, or escalate? 
  • Prioritise and manage day to day finance administration tasks
  • Follow up directly with customers and internal stakeholders on routine finance matters
  • Prepare invoices, reconciliations, and payment support documentation
  • Identify and escalate unusual transactions, discrepancies, or operational issues
  • Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities
Boundaries & Exclusions
What does this role not own, especially where overlap with other roles is possible? 
  • Ownership of management reporting and financial analysis
  • Approval of payments or journals
  • Final month end review and sign off
  • Tax filings and statutory reporting

Interfaces & Handoffs 
Where does the role begin and end when it comes to shared workflows? 
  • Receives finance requests, invoices, and supporting documentation from operational teams and external stakeholders
  • Processes and maintains finance records within agreed workflows and controls
  • Escalates exceptions, discrepancies, and unresolved issues to senior finance team members
  • Supports reconciliations and month end activities for review by Managers or Controllers
  • Collaborates with operational teams to improve workflow efficiency and data accuracy

Technical skills:
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Experience with Accounting software – Xero Preferred
  • Good written and spoken English(English is the working language) 
  • Accounting or Finance-related degree or equivalent — fresh graduates welcome
